Diane Ryan

Director of Outpatient Services

Diane Fairhurst Ryan is currently the Director of Outpatient Services at Sonora Behavioral Health, the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in Arizona.  She is expanding the scope of outpatient programming to include a variety of specialty treatments as well as multiple PHP and IOP mental health and substance use disorders groups for both teens and adults.  Diane has worked in mental health  for over 20 years, focusing on trauma, eating disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions, in various capacities including therapist, clinical director and executive director. Diane is an LPC in Arizona and provides clinical supervision to master’s interns and individuals seeking licensure.  She has a certification in Adventure-Based Psychotherapy and is trained in a variety of trauma informed interventions including Somatic Experiencing. TRM and TRE.

Diane will be receiving her Doctorate in Behavioral Health for ASU in August.  She has been researching adolescent insomnia, and has appeared on network television as well as written recent articles about teen suicide and the effects of stigma and social media on mental health.  She is passionate about assisting individuals to gain access to the care they need to function optimally, expanding programs to provide opportunities for underserved populations to receive support.
