Sonora is the Leading Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, Arizona

Sonora Behavioral Health’s mission is to provide superior behavioral healthcare to the people and communities we serve.

Children (5-11), adolescents (12-17), and adults in crisis situations can benefit from our broad scope of programs. Our services include inpatient hospitalization for crisis stabilization, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We have been recognized by Optum as a Platinum in-patient provider of behavioral health services for our achievements in clinical excellence.

Progressive Therapies

Our team of psychiatrists, medical doctors, master’s level social workers, nurses, dieticians and behavioral health technicians (BHTs) use a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment. Individualized treatment plans are tailor fit to meet each person’s unique needs. The average length of stay varies by patient with the goal of the earliest possible return to the community for continued treatment.

Flexible Outpatient Programs

Sonora also offers flexible outpatient programs for adults in the form of Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Both programs were designed for individuals who require more therapeutic treatment than conventional outpatient psychiatric services offer. These programs are the perfect choice for a step-down transition following a behavioral health hospital stay or as an alternative to inpatient care. Patients return home each evening and must have adequate support and safety in their environment.

Referrals

Crises are unpredictable. That is why Sonora’s Patient Services Helpline, at (888) 374-4167, is staffed 24 hours to answer questions from referring clinicians and potential patients. If you or a loved are in immediate danger, please dial 9-1-1.
